Terms and Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions ("T&C") supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy with specific provisions governing subscriptions, in-app purchases, content licensing, refunds, and acceptable use. By using any C3RT app or purchasing any C3RT product, you agree to these T&C in addition to our Terms of Service.

C3RT ("we", "us", "our") publishes native iOS and macOS exam preparation apps. All purchases are processed by Apple on our behalf.

2. Free Download and Freemium Model

All C3RT apps are free to download from the Apple App Store. A limited set of content is available without purchase to allow you to evaluate the app before subscribing. The extent of free content varies by app and may change at any time.

Premium Content (including full question banks, complete flashcard decks, concept reels, mock exams, AI study coaching, and progress analytics) requires an active subscription or a one-time in-app purchase.

3. Subscription Plans

C3RT offers auto-renewing subscription plans. Available plans (which may vary by app) typically include:

  • Monthly plan: billed every month
  • Annual plan: billed once per year (typically offered at a discounted effective monthly rate)
  • Lifetime access: one-time purchase for perpetual access to current content within a specific app

Specific pricing is displayed within each app at the point of purchase and is subject to Apple's pricing tiers and your local currency. Prices may vary by region and may change over time.

4. Free Trials

C3RT may offer free trial periods for subscription plans. The following conditions apply:

  • Free trials are available to new subscribers only. One trial per App Store account per app
  • You will not be charged during the trial period
  • A valid payment method on file with Apple is required to start a free trial
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period
  • C3RT reserves the right to modify or withdraw free trial offers at any time

5. Billing and Auto-Renewal

Subscription billing is managed entirely by Apple:

  • Your Apple ID account is charged the subscription price upon purchase confirmation and at the start of each renewal period
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Renewal pricing is displayed within the app and in your Apple ID subscription settings
  • Apple may send you a renewal reminder notification before each billing date
  • If a renewal payment fails, Apple will attempt to charge your payment method again. Access to Premium Content may be suspended during payment recovery

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  • On iPhone or iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
  • On Mac: System Settings → [Your Name] → Media & Purchases → Manage → Subscriptions
  • Via the App Store app → [Your Account] → Subscriptions

Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain access to Premium Content until the end of the current paid billing period. There are no partial-period refunds for unused subscription time, except where required by applicable law.

7. Refund Policy

All purchases are final and processed by Apple. C3RT does not have the ability to issue refunds directly. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple
  • Refund eligibility and processing are governed by Apple's refund policy
  • Refunds are generally not available for subscriptions that have been used during the billing period
  • If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing content you have paid for, contact us at support@c3rt.com and we will work to resolve it

8. Content Access and Licensing

A subscription or one-time purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access Premium Content within the applicable app on your authorised Apple devices. Specifically:

  • Subscription: Access to Premium Content is conditional on maintaining an active subscription. When a subscription lapses or is cancelled, access to gated content is suspended, though locally cached content may remain accessible on-device depending on implementation
  • Lifetime purchase: Grants access to Premium Content as it exists at the time of purchase and any future updates to that content within the same app. It does not entitle you to content from future separate apps
  • Content updates: C3RT may add, modify, or remove content at any time as exam outlines evolve. We do not guarantee that any specific question, flashcard, or feature will remain in the app indefinitely
  • App discontinuation: In the unlikely event that a C3RT app is removed from the App Store, we will provide reasonable notice and, where possible, a prorated refund for lifetime purchasers. This is a good-faith commitment and not a contractual guarantee

9. Sharing and Multi-Device Use

Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID. You may use the app on all devices signed in to the same Apple ID simultaneously, subject to Apple's device limits. Subscriptions are personal and may not be shared with other Apple IDs, except through Apple's Family Sharing feature where supported.

Where Family Sharing is enabled and the app supports it, family members may access the subscription. Check individual app pages for Family Sharing availability.

10. Restore Purchases

If you uninstall and reinstall an app, or switch to a new device, you can restore previously purchased content by using the "Restore Purchases" option within the app, or by downloading the app again using the same Apple ID on a device that has not previously purchased the content. No additional charge applies for restoring a valid purchase.

11. Exam Content Disclaimer

C3RT's exam preparation content is independently authored and is not licensed from, endorsed by, or affiliated with any credentialing authority, examination board, professional association, or regulatory body, except where explicitly stated.

Certification names referenced in our apps (including but not limited to NCLEX, CISSP, CPA, Series 65, FAA Part 107, AIBE, SOA Exams P/FM/FAM, USPTO Patent Bar, and others) are the registered trademarks or property of their respective organisations. Use of these names is for nominative reference only and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.

Exam formats, question counts, passing scores, fees, and eligibility requirements are set by the relevant authorities and may change. Always verify current requirements directly with the credentialing authority before scheduling your exam.

12. AI and Adaptive Features

Where C3RT apps include AI-powered features (adaptive quiz selection, study coaching, weak-area targeting, personalised study plans):

  • These features are algorithmic tools designed to improve study efficiency. They are not a substitute for professional advice
  • Performance predictions and readiness estimates are statistical indicators only and do not guarantee actual exam outcomes
  • AI recommendations are processed on-device and are not reviewed by human instructors

13. Acceptable Use

You may use C3RT apps solely for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation. You may not:

  • Screenshot, record, or reproduce questions, explanations, or other Premium Content for distribution
  • Post, publish, or share exam questions from C3RT apps on any platform, website, or forum
  • Use app content to train machine learning models or populate other study resources
  • Access the app via emulators, virtual machines, or modified operating systems in ways that circumvent licensing controls
  • Attempt to bypass, crack, or circumvent subscription verification or in-app purchase controls

Violation of these restrictions may result in termination of your access without refund and may expose you to legal liability.

14. Changes to Pricing and Plans

C3RT reserves the right to change subscription pricing, plan structures, or included features at any time. For existing subscribers, price changes will take effect at the next renewal date. Apple will notify you of price changes before they apply to your subscription. You may cancel at any time if you do not accept a price change.
